Untimely Waking

Technically i should most likely be asleep, but 2 things stop me. One The Count of Monte Cristo is on ABC Family...of all places, and two, my new Ray LaMontagne CD needs listening to.
All in all The newest Hollywood version of Monte Cristo (book not sandwhich) is a tollerable translation of such an epic and timeless tale. It is incredibly hollywoodized and massive secions of the story have been cut, combined, or brutalized by teh screenwriteres but i find its jsut a romping good tale of swashbuckling and revenge. I probably wont stay up watching it.
As to Ray LaMontagne....amazing musician...still not sure how it measures up to his first album, but the song "You Can Bring Me Flowers" is a wonderful bluesy little piece that may end up being my fav on the album.
Yeah, i dont have a whole lot to say at 11 pm on a sunday night, just fell like proclaiming to the world why i'm not in bed sleeping......ok so even if i was in bed i would be reading this great book "The TIme Traveler's Wife" which i think ive mentioned befoer...it is a great book, go rent it....just dont try and figure out how teh lady wrote it..i have no idea. It does make one contemplate the theory of cause and effect, fate, and human interaction.

So in Wal-Mart tonight i had a small epiphany on a new process for some illustrations/ paintings. i will post when i get around to experimenting with it....it does require me spending time in fabric/ craft stores..not something im accustomed to..... we will see.

ok i think ive given enough media recommendation in teh above but i will give you one more. Ray Bradbury's short story "The Homecoming" was re-released with illustrations by Dave McKean...go get it....its amazing!!!! I haven't even gotten around to reading it yet (though that may have something to do wiht having like 6 books going at the same time) i just have looked and looked and looked at the illustrations.
