Beginnings

I was told I would be perfect for blogging, I guess only time will tell if that is a crock, suprisingly true, or somewhere in between. Well, let's get to it then.
My name is, obviously, Michael Morris; no pseudonym here, with my middle name starting with "H" but I will leave that mystery up to speculation. I am an artist covering many genres from painting, illustration, printmaking, graphic design, as well as any thing in between. Currently I am employed as a graphic designer and am learning much about myself and what I enjoy doing and what I don't in the realm of the graphic arts. Beyond that I am a media-aholic: books, movies, music; I dig it all. And love talking about it as well as experiencing it.
I currently reside in Northern Michigan, sometimes referred to as "God's Country," and I would agree as it is one of the most consistently gorgeous places that I have found, and I've traveled quite a bit.
As this is my first entry I will keep it short and stick to introductions. Do stay tuned though for all sorts of thoughts, musings, and general rantings about the state of life, love, and whatever else crosses my mind.
